Welcome to the iPoll live earnings page. Here you can see how many surveys I have been offered, how many surveys have actually paid, and how much I have really earned.
The iPoll App
A couple of readers have informed me that there is an iPoll phone app which may be a quicker way of adding funds to your iPoll account. However, this is a test of the website itself, so any earnings from the app will not be included here.
Is iPoll a Scam?
Probably. By all means it appears to be.
Why, you ask?
Because iPoll makes getting paid so difficult and time consuming that it may as well not pay at all. If it takes two years of diligently divulging your personal details to get paid $50, then I would call it a rip off.
But, because iPoll hide the fact that you require a minimum of $50 before you make a cash withdrawal (via PayPal minus the fees), I would call this a scam. For more information, and iPoll’s response to my inquiries, check out my iPoll Conclusions Page.
How Long Does it Take to Cash Out
First of all, let us assume that you mean money. Not obscure gift cards. Not a discounted pair of sweatshop shoes; but actual money… or at least PayPal money.
iPoll advertise that you need a total of $15 before you can withdraw. That doesn’t seem too hard, because they offer around $5.00 worth of surveys just for signing up. Easy, eh?
Well, I ‘earned’ $6.65 from the start-up surveys, so I only needed to make $8.35 before I could supposedly cash out. Yet, it somehow took me 66 days before I had finished enough surveys to ‘earn’ $15. And it took almost 100 days before that money was even credited into my account. 100 days to ‘earn’ $15…
Upon proceeding to cash out, I was informed than the minimum cash out reward is actually valued at $25 – and that reward is some obscure ‘entertainment’ gift card!! Really, iPoll? Really!!
So this $15 was just some arbitrary figure; I couldn’t cash out after all.
It also turns out that a total of $50 is required for those who want to cash out with… uh… cash. Well not cash, more like PayPal. And don’t forget that you, the user must pay PayPal’s fees.
Once again, I call scam!
It takes a long, long time to cash out, and that is assuming that they actually pay up. I have my doubts.
So Why Continue the Test?
Good question, I ask myself the very same thing .
The reason for this continued testing is to determine whether iPoll will actually pay out if you meet the quota. A lot of people have invested a lot of time and money into their iPoll accounts, only to receive nothing due to an ever-increasing minimum cash out quota.
That is why the test rolls on.
A Few Statistics
This test has been running since March 18, 2013, a total of 270 days.
